5 Important Beauty Routine Steps You Probably Forgot

Some beauty routine steps are less obvious than others. We're pretty sure you haven't thought of at least two of these five simple and important skincare practices. If so, you're in for a read that will change your beauty game forever!

1. SPF ON YOUR HANDS

They say your hands reveal your age. Makes sense. You probably often get reminded of the importance of using SPF on your face and body when being out in the sun, but easily forget how often your hands actually are exposed to it too. Be sure to use SPF 50 on your hands at least once a day. To take this anti-aging beauty routine a step further, put a thick hand cream next to your toothbrush and use it before bed each night. Your future self will thank you!

2. FACE PRODUCTS ON NECK AND CHEST

You might already have a good routine for your face, but have you ever thought of the fact that the skin on your neck and chest is very sensitive and needs some extra love as well? In fact, the skin here is even thinner than your face, so be sure to use the same creams/serums/products (be careful with peelings though) as you do on your face. 3. CLEAN YOUR PILLOW CASES

Ever thought about the fact that your pillowcase affects the state of your face? First of all, be sure to change it. Often! It's one of the most common and easily forgotten reasons for breakouts! Also, it's definitely worth it to get one in silk as other materials accelerate the development of wrinkles.

4. EASY EVERYDAY FACE MASSAGE

Getting yourself a face massage doesn't have to mean you need to spend lots of money and time at a spa. All you have to do is massage your face for 3-5 minutes while applying moisturiser/foundation/washing products each morning and night. It's relaxing, good for blood circulation and time way better spent than scrolling through Facebook anyway ;-)

5. SKIP MAKEUP WHEN WORKING OUT

Wearing makeup to the gym is like asking for breakouts. When you sweat, the pores open up and any makeup (even the fanciest kind) will be blocking them and the skin won't be able to breathe. Simple as that. Water proof mascara is fine though!
