This Almond Crusted Plum Galette Is To Die For [Video Recipe]

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out pie dough on a sheet of parchment paper, cut to fit a large baking sheet. 

In a small bowl, combine flour and sugar. Spread in an even layer on the pie dough, leaving one inch of space from the edge. Arrange plums in a circular motion atop the flour/sugar mixture, keeping the skin side down. Sprinkle with the turbinado sugar.

Fold edge of pie dough, creasing every two inches. Brush egg wash alongside folded crust. Sprinkle with sliced almonds.  

Bake galette, loosely covered with foil, in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes. Remove foil, and continue to bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Sprinkle with more white sugar. Let cool for 15 minutes, then serve!


  • 1 lb. pie dough
  • 4-5 medium plums, sliced
  • 2 tbl. white sugar, plus 1 tbl.
  • 2 tbl. flour
  • 1 tbl. turbinado sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
